Old Mission Vineyard Wedding
Paige and Jordan, Bry’s Vineyard
By Rockhill Studio, Traverse City Wedding Photographer
This wedding was definitely one of the funnest weddings we had last summer! I mean, the day was PERFECT. The wedding was in June, but Traverse City had such a slow and cold spring that it was really one of the first hot and sunny weekends we had. So everyone was already in high spirits from the gorgeous day, but add on the wedding of Paige and Jordan, and it made that day that much better! The getting ready/ceremony took place at Bry’s Estate Vineyard, which was very personal for the couple since Jordan is the assistant winemaker there. He even personally made his own wine blend for the wedding day, which the guests enjoyed during the wedding. How amazing is that? Afterwards, we headed downtown Traverse City for the reception. Here’s a few images from their absolutely perfect day…
Quick side note here! I remember Paige telling me that the year before the wedding, they were at the vineyard to figure out where the ceremony would be taking place and the vines were just beautifully full and green. On their wedding day, like I mentioned before with the cold spring that TC had, those vines were just starting to sprout their leaves!
Ok, one more quick side note here as well. Paige wanted SO bad confetti after the wedding but being in the vineyard and just for ecological reasons, knew that wouldn’t be possible (as most confetti is the plastic, non-biodegradable stuff) but unbeknownst to her, her family and friends found some that was eco-friendly!! As soon as Paige and Jordan were to be pronounced husband and wife, BOOM! I could hardly wait for the surprise!
See that car wayyyy in the background? Yeah, that’s Paige and her dad LEAVING the ceremony after just arriving because they forgot the bouquet, I think. Or at least some important piece of the wedding! We had a good laugh because it felt like the runaway bride. But with Paige and Jordan you could just about see the love they had for each other, so thankfully it was just a funny moment ;)
And of course while waiting, more wine.
After a few short minutes, the bride returned!
My FAVORITE moment. Paige was so surprised at the confetti!
We had a leftover confetti canon and of course I wasn’t going to let that go to waste, so we felt the wind, positioned ourselves perfectly and…of course one piece flew into frame. But the excitement on the bride and groom’s face was the best and I love this image!
Off to downtown Traverse City!
Aren’t these little pies the cutest!
Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs!!
