Bailey and Ty's wedding on Drummond Island this past summer was like a wonderful family party. Partly because they have ties to Drummond Island so it was like seeing all the family members come back home for a celebration. And partly because their families and wedding party were SO FUN! The couple got ready at an intimate little church on the island (and if you've ever been to Drummond Island, it's an amazing spot with beautiful scenery and lots of outdoor adventures...and not a whole lot of population, so everything has that small town charm to it that only added to how perfect this wedding was!) After the ceremony, we continued on to some favorite spots of this couple for more pictures! The day was complete with AMAZING food, lots of conversation, and dancing the night away.
Here are just a few from their wedding day...
The ceremony was just so emotional, in the very best happy way possible. These two are some of the loveliest people you'll ever hope to know and their love for each other was so evident!
I mean, just staring at his bride...it was easy to do with the picture perfect image Bailey made walking down the isle!!
That just married feeling.
We always take pictures of just the bride with her bridesmaids and groom with groomsmen separately of course...and the above picture of just the girls is pretty and fun, and of course they were having a wonderful time. But what you don't often think of is behind the scenes with the guys...left to their own devices on a wedding day, the groom and groomsmen usually get a little wild and crazy. This picture is a a good example of what goes on behind the scenes when it's not their turn in front of the camera!
After the portrait time around a few different spots, we headed back to town and went to the reception. The hall was right across the street from the church and again, I just love the small town feel of this whole wedding! It was so very perfect!!
Bailey decorated everything with SO many gorgeous sunflowers. They were everywhere on the wedding day and their bright and cherry colors against the blue tablecloths of the outdoor tables at the reception was the perfect setup for some detail ring shots!
