Autumn and Jeff. I adore this couple! They are both archeologists (I mean, how amazing is that?!) and I love the details from that they incorporated into their wedding. It was a rainy, early summer day in the Upper Peninsula. But that didn't matter...we were loaded up with our umbrellas and this couple was so in love, I don't think they even noticed the rain! After the bride finished getting ready at her parents' house, the couple met on a stretch of beach outside Marquette, MI on the shores of Lake Superior. You could see the rain arriving in the distance, but it thankfully was calm and (mostly) dry while we were on the beach. After their first look, the couple continued on to their ceremony and reception space, Belsolda Farm, always a favorite of ours! The orchard was the designated ceremony site, but the rain. It rained, and rained, and kept coming down. The plan was to move the ceremony to under the tent but 10 minutes prior to the wedding, the rain stopped and we were able to continue with the original plan of having the wedding in the orchard! And the rest is history...an amazing day of celebrating this amazing couple. Here are some favorites from their story!

On to the beach!! It was the perfect spot for their first look.
Autumn and Jeff requested this particular photo (they take a lot of photos of their adventures just like this so one on the wedding day was a must!). I especially love Jeff socks!!
After the first look and some portraits, we went on to Belsolda Farm.
One of my favorite details from any wedding we have done: the groom's tie clip. Specially made by the bride for her groom, it's imprinted with GPS coordinates special to that couple. I mean, how perfect is that??
This car had a special significance in the wedding day. The below image of the picture of the bride's grandparents is extremely special to Autumn and she wanted to recreate that. She was able to locate a car very similar to the one in the photograph and the owner was SO kind to allow them the use of posing next to and on it for this image! And as you can see, it was an absolute must to get a few additional pictures with the car!!
And also very fitting was their cutting the cake knife...an archeology trowel! LOVE!!!
Another aspect super unique to this couple and their day was right after the ceremony, they also had a Native American unity ceremony, incorporating this drinking vase!
Another SUPER fun detail was a little photo prop table they had of archeology stuff...which a lot was from Indiana Jones. It was so fun I HAD to incorporate it into a few ring shots!!
I love this because the couple went to Italy for their honeymoon!
The evening ended with dancing and smores around the fire pit!
