I'm so happy for this couple...TODAY is their wedding day, and perfect timing for their snowy engagement session to be featured on Let's Bee Together!! We had an amazing time wandering around the snowiest spots in Marquette, MI. Northern Michigan is always cold and snowy in February, but we had such an amazing day for our session with the lake effect snow bands coming in and out. Click HERE to view more of this feature!!
Kristyn and Jack are rockstars. They are one of the funnest couples we've had the honor to photograph (seriously, my husband keeps talking about how much Kristyn made him laugh during the course of the wedding day...she's just awesome like that!) and every detail of their wedding day was perfect...
I know I JUST blogged Sarah and Padric's amazing wedding, but because this wedding DEFINITELY deserves another look, check out this amazing feature on Modern Weddings!!
I just recently blogged about a Mackinac Island engagement session we had this past summer and it got me thinking to the amazing weddings we photographed there this summer as well. So obviously I need to share some of Sarah and Padric's gorgeous wedding day!! Their wedding was held at the amazing...
I love living in Northern Michigan. Traverse City area has some of the best spots to just loose yourself adventuring around, the Upper Peninsula is just wilderness goodness, Mackinac Island is just...a place all it's own. I've shot a number of weddings and engagements on the Island and it's always a favorite of...
I am SO thankful for each and every client who graciously trusts me to photograph their wedding, engagement sessions, etc. I am so blessed with amazing clients and wanted to take a few minutes to say THANK YOU. Photography is my passion (photographing weddings and engagements puts me straight on cloud nine!) and you all make this the best job in the world for me.
Thank you for an amazing 2017 season...and looking forward to the amazing wedding season of 2018!!
Julie and Josh's wedding took place on the beautiful Drummond Island, at the Drummond Island Resort, always a favorite of ours to photograph at!! Located just a short ways from Traverse City, this island is such an adventure, from the ferry ride over, to the wild nature of the land, and a hundred other things that make having a wedding here so special. Drummond Island has a very special meaning to Julie and Josh and their wedding was...
I cannot say how much I love when client families turn into wonderful relationships. I've been able to work with member's of Jimmy's family now for a number of weddings and sessions and his family are some of the best people I know. So when these two got engaged and contacted me about photographing their wedding, I was SO SO SO happy! That, and the fact...
Haley and Sam's wedding day was, for me, a day that could not come soon enough. We photographed this couple's engagement session on a beautiful spring evening just over a year before their wedding and I about cried buckets knowing I had to wait a while till I could get these two in front of my camera again...
I love engagement sessions. I love getting to know my couples before the wedding day, and these sessions are so much more relaxed than a wedding day typically is. This means we really get to shoot without the pressure of keeping within a timeline, we can just kick back, relax, and adventure around, capturing my couples being...well, a couple! And I simply ADORED Samantha and...
Alexandra and Josh's wedding in the Traverse City, MI area was everything you'd dream a wedding should be. It had amazing decor, food, venues (the VENUE, you guys...but I'll get to that in a second). But the icing on the cake was the...
Sometimes during an engagement session, you have a couple who are just perfect together. I mean, JUST PERFECT. That was the case with Casey and Del. These two know the hardships of a long-distance relationship, with much over their time spent with a literal ocean between them, so the time they do spend together is extra special...and I could see that in every aspect of their engagement session.
We had an amazing time wandering around Marquette, Michigan for their session! So many laughs, lots of cuddles, and the most perfect Northern Michigan summer evening. I was super excited to share some from this session, but waited till the couple "officially" became engaged...about a month or two after their photo shoot. So, instead of posting a ton on our facebook page, I'll just make a blog post about it, yay!
Earlier this year while we were getting prepared to photograph Christy and Mike's wedding day, I got a call from the editor of the MiBrew magazine, a publication put on by the Michigan Brewers Guild. The editor said they were doing a feature on the bride (Christy) and was wondering if I'd be up for using one of my images from the wedding day as their magazine cover.
ABSOLUTELY!
This couple is very enthusiastic about craft beer, and it was fitting that on the wedding day, we went to a local brewery for a quick drink, getting some pictures with the couple and their wedding party. It made the perfect backdrop for shooting the cover of the magazine! I was thrilled for this amazing couple and the opportunity to have their big day featured in such an amazing way!!
Much thanks to MiBrew magazine and this couple for the incredible opportunity!!
I'm so hopelessly behind on blogging...SO many amazing weddings and engagements you guys need to see, but for now, enjoy this crazy gorgeous Northern Michigan engagement session featured on A Northwoods Wedding <3
I'm SO excited to have this exclusive feature in Outre Bride! Eric and Erica are one of my most photographed couples (I've photographed weddings, family...
Jessica and James. We decided on Grand Marais for the engagement session and I knew it was going to be amazing because...well, Grand Marais. It's gorgeous there. But the cherry on top was this perfect couple. We had an absolute BLAST shooting. It being still fairly early spring in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan...
I first met Ryan and Nicole in Green Bay, Wisconsin. It was the evening before we were scheduled to shoot a wedding and we had met up with that bride and groom at the hotel with their wedding party, family, and friends for a few drinks. We were chatting about how excited we were for the next day's wedding and just general conversation and Ryan (who at the time was only dating Nicole) mentioned to us about how he was planning on proposing to Nicole in...

Spencer and Mike's engagement session took place in the middle of fall, in the heart of Petoskey, located in the gorgeous Northern Lower Peninsula of Michigan. While it WAS the peak weekend for foliage in the UP, Petoskey wasn't entirely arrived yet just slightly south, but was nonetheless the perfect setting for the session...
